This year, we celebrate two remarkable milestones: 21 years of Golden Knot Holdings and 10 years of Redeemed Group of Schools.
What began as a dream with the establishment of our first Strategic Business Unit has grown into a thriving organisation employing over 450 people locally, regionally, and internationally. The journey has been defined by growth, resilience, faith, and the privilege of leading while balancing the roles of wife, mother, daughter, and CEO.
Our recent celebrations were enriched by inspiring messages from Pastor Tendai Jude Timuri and Mrs Precious Murena Nyika, who reminded us of the importance of pursuing our vision with conviction and letting go of anything that hinders progress. Their insights reinforced the value of adaptability, innovation, and steadfast leadership.
One enduring lesson from Pastor Timuri came from 2 Kings 13:18, reminding us of the importance of “shooting our shot” persistently and tirelessly —never growing weary in pursuing the vision entrusted to us.
Another profound reflection from Mrs Precious Nyika Murena centred on the need to release excess baggage that hinders progress. Drawing from the tragic story of the Mann Gulch Fire of 1949, we were reminded that growth often requires us to let go of past accolades, outdated assumptions, and limiting mindsets.
A highlight of the event was the Chairman’s address, “Honouring Our Past, Reclaiming Our Identity and Shaping Our Future,” during which long-serving employees were recognised for their contribution to the Golden Knot and Reedemed Group of schools journey. The Group Chairman and CEO remembered and acknowledged and rewarded the loyalty of 11 staff members courtesy of Golden knot International United Arab Emirates for having been part of the entrepreneurial journey since year 2000. The Organization through Human Resources department awarded and recognized 70 employees for service ranging from 5 to 21 years.
The Chairman’s analogy of Golden Knot as a tree with deep roots, weathered by trials yet flourishing enough to shelter and nourish many, beautifully captures our story.
As we look ahead, we remain grounded in our Christian values and committed to excellence, innovation, and service. Above all, we thank the Lord who made it possible .
