CEO of the Year: Professional Services
I am deeply humbled to receive the CEO of the Year: Professional Services Award at the just ended CEO Africa Roundtable Awards 2025. Being nominated among leaders whose work shapes industries, communities, and futures was already a privilege. Winning this award is a moment of profound gratitude for me.
Receiving the award from the Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Murwira, made the moment even more meaningful. His presence and the powerful speech he delivered highlighted the importance of the work we are doing as business leaders in contributing to Zimbabwe’s economic development.
This acknowledgment is a celebration of the remarkable people I am privileged to work with every day.
Leadership is never a solo journey. It is a collective effort built on trust, shared vision, and the unwavering commitment of an exceptional team.
To my colleagues at Golden Knot Holdings, thank you for believing in our mission even in moments of uncertainty, for your resilience, your integrity, and your dedication to excellence. This award belongs to you as much as it does to me. We have pushed together, and what we have done has not gone unnoticed.
To our partners, clients, and stakeholders, your confidence and collaboration inspire us to continually raise the standard of what is possible. We are grateful for your trust and support.
To my family, my husband, my children, and my parents, thank you for being my anchor. You are always the first to cheer me on, even when other voices try to make me feel inadequate or unworthy. Your belief in me strengthens my resolve and reminds me daily of the purpose behind the work.
The CEO Africa Roundtable plays a vital role in recognising the contributions of leaders across the continent. Sometimes, when no one is validating your efforts or reminding you that you are doing your best, you can begin to doubt your own abilities.
But when your work is acknowledged, something shifts, it ignites hope, it pushes you further, and it inspires you to continue breaking boundaries. That small, still voice becomes louder, urging you to keep going.
This recognition challenges me to lead with greater humility, clarity, and courage. It reinforces that leadership is not about titles, it is about service. It is about empowering others, nurturing talent, and building sustainable impact that outlives us.
As we move forward, I remain committed to leading with vision and integrity.
I accept this honour with gratitude, responsibility, and renewed determination.
Here’s to the Golden Knot team, this one is ours.
Here’s to our stakeholders and clients.
Here’s to my family.
And here’s to Zimbabwe’s economic future.
Thank you.
